Believe me, I know how difficult it can be to get a group of people from across senior management though to operational specialists and shop teams together in a room, but this is one of the benefits of retail workshops. They are such a rich opportunity not to be missed as they stimulate discussion from across the divides of retail functions and internal business agendas.

In the book you will find 75 action plans. These are an excellent starting point for you to consider what your workshop attendees should be discussing. Workshops can be built around a single action or constructed to integrate several related issues.

I’ve not been asked to construct a workshop that covers all the topics in the book, yet. But workshops to discuss how to flourish in the ‘The life and times of the Essential Retailer’ or ‘Evolving Agile Organisations’ are certainly becoming a real probability.  

Workshops are always a journey. With many worthwhile meanders and diversions. But always planned and scheduled to reach the destination.
